Overview We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Rebar Detailer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurately detailing and coordinating the detailing of Rebar according to contract drawings, specifications, and the Reinforcing Steel Manual of Standard Practice. Must be able to work in a fast paced environment and be extremely knowledgeable of concrete construction and sequencing of concrete construction. Position Functions Produce structural take-offs, barlists, and/or Reinforcing placement drawings by examining drawings from engineers and/or architects to determine the requirements of reinforcing steel and any non rebar specialty items to support concrete structures. Identifying any specialty material required at the start of the project for early ordering of this material. Mentor and train junior team members while serving as a liaison to promote continuous team growth, development, and collaboration. Review of drawings and identifying any changes from Tender to Construction drawings. Produce accurate rebar placement drawings, barlists and releases to facilitate the fabrication and placement of reinforcement as specified within the contract documentation. When required, coordinate with customers to schedule initial deliveries of material to the job site. (Occasionally for some smaller projects). Track progress of projects and track all over under weights, Detailing KPIs, etc. Provide assistance to resolve placement and fabrication issues that might arise on site. When required, work closely with customers / Salit project coordinators to achieve the highest level of service. (Occasionally Client contact will occur) Work closely with Project Managers and Project Coordinators at branches to ensure the highest quality and service. Monitor and report on all outside Detailing companies performance and service to the branches. Engage, and source new Detailing companies to use. (In coordination with management) Ensure the highest quality of service from outside Detailing companies. Review, and coordinate approvals off all Outside Detailing weights and monthly invoices. Working Conditions The successful incumbent will be working 40+ hours per week in an office setting. Frequent and regular use of the computer is required as well as exposure to the elements and loud noises.
