As a Program Facilitator - Community Connections at Events for Life Centre Inc., you will lead inclusive, community-based programming that supports participant growth and builds strong relationships with local businesses and organizations. You''ll coordinate and deliver engaging daily activities, promote participant confidence, improve their communication and social skills including American Sign Language (ASL). Key responsibilities include: Contact and engage local businesses and organizations to build partnerships Prepare program areas and daily schedules Ability to research new and creative program ideas and initiatives Comfortable facilitating in front of a group including ASL Plan and work collaboratively with community groups to provide social events Deliver program curriculum with a focus on communication Organize work experience opportunities with local businesses and organizations Support participants in hygiene, technology use, and behaviour plans Transport participants to local venues using the company vehicle Support food and beverage preparation for events Maintain a 6:1 participant-to-staff ratio Ensure safety, health, and cleanliness of program areas Attend meetings, staff training, and assist with special events Lead virtual sessions during inclement weather Use smart board technology and conduct community research to enhance programs Job Type: Full-time Pay: $21.00-$23.00 per hour Expected hours: 35 per week Benefits: Casual dress Extended health care Application question(s): what makes you want to work with adults with special needs?
