Job Summary Strata Managers ensure that each property is managed in a professional, diligent, competent and efficient manner with the client''s needs in mind. They work towards maximizing satisfaction and harmony among owners while ensuring strict compliance with the prevailing industry legislation such as the _Strata Property Act._ The successful candidate will be responsible for managing their building portfolio''s processes. This is a high-volume operation in an environment of continuous improvement of processes, operational efficiency, and regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate will have excellent analytical, written and oral communication, financial, planning, and management skills, combined with curiosity, adaptability, and attention to detail-all of which will help to lead a best-in-class property management team. A valid BC driver''s license is required. Primary Responsibilities Guide and advise strata councils on strata operations and the _Strata Property Act_ Attend and prepare necessary documentation for council meetings and AGM''s Complete work orders for repair and maintenance of strata common property Field owner inquiries and concerns Prepare annual budgets and collect strata fees and review strata financial statements Coordinate strata insurance claims Supervise and administer property contracts and service agreements Attend to property emergencies Arrange for quotes for repair and maintenance and service contracts Obtain legal advice when directed by client Regular property site inspections Administering special projects Emergency on-call two weeks per year Some evening and weekend meetings Education Valid license for strata property management from the BC Financial Services Authority Work Experience Previous property management experience an asset Knowledge and Skills Proficient with MS Office suite Time management and prioritization skills Problem solving skills Working knowledge of building maintenance and mechanical systems Strong writing and proofreading skills Solid understanding of financial reporting is an asset but not required Clear understanding of the _Real Estate Services Act_ and _Strata Property Act_ Experience with Yardi and Flowfinity software an asset Personal Skills Written and verbal communications skills Able to represent comprehensive information in a clear, concise manner Build and maintain strong customer relations Strong attention to detail Ability to work independently and take initiative Ability to function in a fast paced, high volume work environment Successful track record working with clients Enthusiastic drive to deliver exceptional level of customer service Willingness to work outside of regular work hours Work Environment Office location - Kamloops, British Columba, Canada Travel is expected with this job in the Kamloops area.
