Position Summary We are seeking a reliable, skilled, and passionate Horticulture & Maintenance Senior Technician to join our team. This hands-on role is essential to the execution of both residential maintenance and garden renovation projects. The Senior Tech leads small crews on-site, executes tasks to high quality standards, and mentors junior team members while maintaining safety and efficiency. Job Type : Full-time, Year-Round (4-5 days/week) Pay Range : $28.00-$35.00 per hour Reports To : Horticulture & Maintenance Manager Location : Metro Vancouver (primarily Vancouver and surrounding areas) Key Responsibilities Lead and execute garden maintenance and softscape projects to high-quality standards Perform tasks such as weeding, pruning, planting, mulching, soil amendment, pest/disease management, and turf care Mentor and support H&M Technicians, promoting safety and craftsmanship on-site Maintain and inspect tools and equipment, ensuring safe and efficient use Support plant selection, placement, and care; assist with plant health monitoring and procurement tasks Communicate clearly with the H&M Manager and, when needed, with clients to ensure satisfaction and alignment Requirements & Qualifications 2-3+ years of landscape maintenance and/or garden installation experience Strong horticultural knowledge, including plant ID and care practices Confidence using hand tools, power tools, and small equipment Valid BC Driver's License (Class 5) Reliable, organized, and physically capable of performing outdoor work in all conditions Strong communication skills and team-oriented mindset Bonus Skills (Nice to Have) Horticulture certification, Red Seal, or CLT designation Experience mentoring junior staff or leading small crews Basic irrigation or lighting troubleshooting skills Familiarity with plant procurement or landscape materials Knowledge of job tracking platforms (e.g., Aspire, LMN) Compensation & Benefits Competitive hourly wage based on experience Overtime eligible Health Spending Account (HSA) Consistent schedule with year-round work Access to training and growth opportunities Why Join Craine Projects?
