Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a key role in providing exceptional patient care while assisting the dentist in various procedures. This position requires a proactive individual who is eager to learn and grow within the dental field. Duties Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow. Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary materials are available. Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed. Educate patients on oral hygiene, postoperative care, and treatment plans. Maintain accurate patient records Schedule appointments and manage patient flow to optimize office efficiency. Handle administrative tasks, including billing and insurance verification when necessary. Support pediatric patients with a friendly demeanor to ensure a comfortable experience. Stay current with dental practices, technologies, and regulations. Qualifications Previous experience in dental assisting is a must Knowledge of medical terminology related to dentistry is beneficial. Familiarity with dental software applications such as Dentrix or Epic is a plus Strong communication skills and the ability to work well with children in a pediatric setting. Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
