This is integral to the daily language, attitude and behaviour of our Weekly Service Crew Member. Our company is currently looking for a Weekly Service Crew Leader with mid to senior level experience in Swimming Pool maintenance and cleaning to join our team! As a Weekly Service Crew Leader, you are the face of Betz Pools week after week. Working as a team, you will provide training to new crew members on how to efficiently service swimming pools, spas and water features in a timely and professional manner. The Weekly Service team performs vacuuming, skimming, brushing and testing and balancing of water, along with system maintenance of in-ground swimming pools on a weekly basis. Crew Leaders are responsible for the quality of service completed on each site and are required to provide effective communication to Management and customers in order to ensure Betz Pools is providing the quality service we guarantee. You may possess multiple skills, such as an aptitude for science, love of the outdoors, previous position on a pool maintenance crew, leading a pool maintenance crew, as a lifeguard, maintaining outdoor pools at community centers/home. Previous experience in pool maintenance or weekly service is considered an asset. **Job Responsibilities** **Pool Maintenance** - Provide weekly maintenance on pools, spas, decking equipment and water systems for weekly, bi-weekly and monthly customers. - Check the pool and heater systems to ensure they are functioning optimally. - Verify pool chemical is balanced for optimal swimming and heater functionality. - Ensure all job sites are clean and tidy before moving on to the next site. **Communication** - Maintain professional and friendly demeanor with customers. - Communicate openly and respectfully with all team members. - Ensure communication is timely, including verbal, team chats, work orders and phone calls. **Repairs and Replacements** - Replace or repair broken parts, cartridge filters etc. - Verify all repairs or replacements are captured in work orders or communicated to manager. **Supervision** - Responsible of overseeing and providing training to new and returning crew members. - Validate skills and understanding of day-to-day duties are being retained and applied. - Ensure all crews are complying with ESA break and OHSA break regulations. - Review performance of crew members with Managers for incentives, promotions and progressive improvement. - Reinforce health and safety standards and standard operating procedures (SOPs) **Requirements** - Completed 1-2 seasons as a Weekly Service Crew Member - Maintain health and safety standards at all times. - Strong problem solving and communication skills - Ability to maintain a professional demeanor at all times when representing the company. - Ability to be on time and arrive to work in a timely manner. - Maintaining a clean and presentable uniform. - Valid Drivers license and clean drivers abstract. - Ability to be respectful of clients home and/or property - Highly motivated, organized, and reliable. **Work Conditions** - This position requires the ability to travel. - Ability to lift and manipulate objects of up to 45 lbs is required. - Use of Personal Protection Equipment will be required (e.g. Gas Mask, safety boots, etc.) - Willing to work in all weather conditions (rain, wind, heat etc) - Able to remove small dead animals from pools - Hours of work 7 AM to finish. - May be exposed to hazards associated with the industry. #### **Experience** Required - 2 year(s): Pool Industry - 2 year(s): Pool Maintenance #### **Licenses & Certifications** Required - G Drivers License #### **Skills** Preferred - Decision Making - Attention to Detail - Defensive Driving Skills - Strong Mechanical Aptitude - Problem Solving - Communication #### **Behaviors** Required - Leader: Inspires teammates to follow them Preferred - Detail Oriented: Capable of carrying out a given task with all details necessary to get the task done well - Team Player: Works well as a member of a group - Enthusiastic: Shows intense and eager enjoyment and interest
