Job Description

Were looking for an experienced Project Manager in the civil and Shallow Utility construction industry. Our client is a well-established and growing construction company with over two decades of success delivering high-quality infrastructure projects. Theyre searching for a driven and detail-oriented Project Manager to oversee Shallow Utility projects from concept to completion. This role offers the opportunity to lead key initiatives, manage budgets and schedules, and play a crucial role in shaping project outcomes across various phases of development. Project Manager responsibilities: Serve as the main point of contact for clients and internal teams throughout the project lifecycle Develop, track, and manage project budgets and schedules Oversee contract preparation, negotiation, and execution Coordinate all permit and licensing requirements to ensure project compliance Manage procurement of equipment and materials to align with project goals Lead and document the change order process and maintain accurate records Monitor and report on financial performance, including forecasting and cost control Direct subcontractor and supplier activities to meet deadlines and quality standards Process and approve supplier and subcontractor invoices Ensure projects meet all safety and environmental regulations Contribute to continuous improvement efforts to enhance project delivery Estimate and submit bids for shallow utility projects The successful candidate has: 35 years of experience managing Shallow Utility civil infrastructure or commercial construction projects Experience with project estimating and bidding processes Strong proficiency with project management and construction software Prior use of B2W estimating software is considered an asset Knowledge of municipal construction practices, ideally within Calgary and surrounding regions Excellent problem-solving, communication, and decision-making skills Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment A collaborative, adaptable mindset with a focus on results and accountability Compensation and benefits: Competitive salary based on experience and qualifications Comprehensive benefits package Performance-based bonus Company vehicle or vehicle allowance Opportunities for career growth and advancement Supportive and collaborative work environment Candidates must be eligible to work in Canada.
