The SSE Officer will be responsible for providing safety, security, and environmental oversight, ensuring excellence and consistency of standards throughout station operations to support operational output. This includes guiding on MA safety, security, environmental policies, SOPs, and compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. This role pertains to ground fueling operations within the relevant business unit. Main accountabilities include : Leading by example and providing open, honest, feedback to employees. Promoting safety, security, and environmental awareness within station operations, fostering a ''Safety and Security First'' culture. Ensuring policies are implemented and standards met according to Menzies Manuals and legislation. Improving hazard identification, risk assessments, and compliance processes. Collaborating with management to develop policies and establish safe work systems, enhancing safety knowledge. Conducting monthly safety inspections and audits. Investigating incidents as necessary. Reviewing injury and incident trends and implementing corrective actions. Distributing safety, security, and environmental alerts. Supporting new safety tools and processes, advising on risk and safety system development. Implementing the station''s Emergency Response Plan (ERP). Leading the station Health and Safety Committee. Ensuring safety and security meetings are held per statutory requirements. Reporting statutory breaches or best practice violations. Additionally, the role involves attending safety meetings with airline customers and representing Menzies at airport Safety Forums. Mandatory training must be completed as required. Other duties may be assigned by management. Qualifications and Experience : Legally able to work in Canada. High school diploma. Experience in environmental, safety, industrial hygiene, or related fields preferred. Formal OSHA or similar safety certification desired.
