Job Description

HR Generalist As a strategic HR partner across multiple Canadian divisions, the HR Generalist will provide expert guidance in employee relations, talent management, compliance, and organizational development. With strong leadership and problem-solving capabilities, this role will handle complex HR challenges with a thoughtful and strategic approach. Key Responsibilities Employee Relations & Leave Management Serve as the primary contact for employee concerns across various business units Lead resolution of complex employee relations matters, including investigations and disciplinary actions Handle sensitive disability and leave cases in collaboration with external consultants and insurers Talent Management & Performance Oversee onboarding and offboarding processes to ensure smooth transitions Guide development plans for high-potential employees Support performance management through reviews, goal-setting, and coaching Compensation Conduct market analyses and benchmarking to uphold pay equity and competitiveness Compliance Partner with HR Operations to maintain alignment with federal, provincial, and local labor regulations Organizational Development Champion initiatives that improve engagement, growth, and culture Support change management strategies to strengthen organizational effectiveness HR Projects Lead or contribute to key HR initiatives including manager development, DEI programs, and process improvements Provide strategic insights on evolving HR trends and best practices Team Collaboration Cultivate strong relationships within the HR team Mentor junior HR team members and support their learning journey Serve as a daily go-to resource for the teams questions and development Qualifications Education Bachelors degree in HR, Business Administration, or a related field CHRP designation preferred Experience 5+ years of progressive HR experience, including senior-level or generalist roles Skills & Competencies Deep understanding of HR principles, employment legislation, and industry best practices Strong interpersonal, communication, and analytical abilities Discretion and professionalism in managing sensitive information Technical Proficiency Skilled in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and HRIS platforms Additional Attributes Adaptability to fast-paced environments Strong organization and attention to detail Ability to work independently and collaboratively across teams
