Senior Equipment Service Technician Our client is a leader in manufacturing, installation, and distribution of snow and ice removal equipment for the maintenance of highways, municipal roadways, and airfields.As a Senior Service Technician, you play a critical role in delivering timely, professional, and high-quality maintenance and repair services to our customers. Working both in the field and in the branch workshop, you ensure that snow removal equipment is diagnosed, repaired, and maintained according to safety, performance, and customer standards Technical Service & RepairsDiagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and electronic control systems on mobile equipment.Perform both preventive and corrective maintenance at customer locations and in our Toronto-based service shop.Conduct post-repair inspections, calibrations, and ensure full functional testing of equipment before release.Document all repairs, issues found, and corrective actions taken using internal systems.Maintain high-quality standards by following OEM specifications and internal service procedures.Customer Interaction & Field SupportDeliver professional and respectful service while explaining technical findings and service recommendations to customers.Respond to urgent service calls and equipment breakdowns during peak operational periods (including possible seasonal overtime).Provide on-site support at job sites or municipal depots as required.Effectively communicates with customers about equipment issues and solutions.Technical Documentation & WarrantyAccurately record labor hours, parts usage, diagnosis details, and customer interactions in the digital work order system.Assist in warranty assessments by providing root cause documentation and photographic evidence where required.Track and communicate recurring product issues or field failure trends to the Engineering or Product Support teams.Adhere to proper return procedures for warranty or defective componentsMaintain accurate records of inspections, repairs, and maintenance activities.Prepare detailed reports on equipment conditions and repair recommendations.Qualifications5-10+ years of experience in the repair and maintenance of vocational trucks or heavy equipment.Hands-on experience with hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and lighting systems.Ability to read mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic schematics and drawings.310T/421A/425A certification considered as a strong assetValid Class 5 drivers license (an asset).Mobile Handling Equipment certified preferred. Significant software knowledge (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams)
