We are hiring a CRPA to primarily support the Kids Eye Biobank. Responsibilities related to this project include: **Regulatory** - Contribute to development of REB documents including study protocol and informed consent forms based on regulations, templates and institutional requirements **Project Coordination** - Monitor and update project work plans - Schedule meetings and prepare necessary documents - Follow and update operating procedures **Participant Recruitment & Retention** - Identify potential participants in Epic and screen for study eligibility - Communicate with clinical staff for support with study recruitment - Obtain informed consent - Collect participant tracking data **Biospecimen Collection & Processing** - Monitor electronic medical records at SickKids to identify procedures that might result in a potential biospecimen - Collect biospecimens from SickKids and referral sites - Create research orders in Epic for research biospecimen collection - Document biospecimen collection in Epic using research notes **Clinical Data Collection & Management** - Assist with REDCap and Excel database maintenance - Efficiently extract data from Epic into REDCap or Excel with a high degree of accuracy - Support receipt of clinical data from Referral Sites **Reporting** - Assist with preparation of accrual reports **Represent the Biobank** - Support onboarding and training of new referral sites **Here''s What You''ll Need:** - Bachelors of Science degree or equivalent combination of education and experience. - At least 2 years of clinical research experience aligning with aforementioned role(s). - Demonstrated experience in any of the following would be considered an asset: o Pediatric Ophthalmology research o Epic o REDCap o Chart reviews o Biobanking o Grant writing - Superior communication, organization and time management skills. - Meticulous attention-to-detail. - Ability to work independently with tight deadlines and changing priorities. - Exceptional problem solving and decision making. - Strong computer literacy and proficiency in Microsoft Office (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams). - In your cover letter, please explain why you are applying for this specific position, and how this position will contribute to your career plans.
