**PERSONAL SUPPORT WORKER (PSW)** # **Vaughan Adult Day Program Full-time position** **Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 4:30pm** **Return of Service: $10,000 to new or recent PSW graduate as of April 1, 2023** **In exchange for 12 month full-time commitment** *The Adult Day Program (ADP) is a full-day community-based program, offering respite to caregivers and providing older adults and persons with age related conditions with individualized plans of care. The program includes a variety of social and wellness activities, companionship, nutritious snacks, and lunch, in a safe, friendly, and caring environment while addressing social isolation for older adults.* **The Role:** Reporting to the Day Program Supervisor, you will provide personal care and social support. **Position Requirements:** - PSW certificate required - Cognitive dementia experience - Experience in Adult Day Program setting, an asset - LTC experience an asset - First Aid and CPR certification mandatory - Experience working with/ caring for seniors - Well-developed team skills, leadership skills with ability to take initiative - Effective problem solving and conflict management skills in fast paced environment - Ability to work well within a changing environment - Strong effective communication in English (verbal/written) - Demonstrated strong customer service skills - Demonstrated strong organizational skills - Computer competency word, outlook, data base - Successful completion of Food Handlers course - Medication management an asset - Drivers license an asset - Fluency in both official languages (English & French) or other language(s), an asset. **Responsibilities:** - Providing personal care, escorting & transferring, meal preparation to clients of the Adult Day Program - Assisting with the ADP programs and completing computer documentation. **CHATS is an equal opportunity employer.**
