As a recognition of our commitment to quality and patient safety, we have received the highest distinction of Exemplary Standing from Accreditation Canada.* **Job Summary** The Data Clerk within Health Information is accountable for updating/maintain Physician Table in main systems within Southlake (for example STAR, PHS, Nuance, HPF, HCI, Medworxx, etc.). The Physician Table data is used to send mail and fax clinical reports/results to practitioners. Processing Return Mail with full investigation and follow-up to assure future clinical results/reports are sent to the correct practitioner. Processing Failed Faxes with full investigation and follow-up to assure future faxes are sent to correct fax number. Also update the Hospital Report Managers subscriber lists within the systems. **Qualifications** * Successfully completed grade 12 at minimum * Medical Terminology certificate * Diploma in Medical Office Administration * Two (2) years clerical duties in healthcare environment * Prior data entry experience is an asset * Experience in collection of data including updating database tables * Previous partition and contribution in organizational committees to generate innovative ideas and enhance efficient functioning of a department. * Demonstrated ability to seek relevant information from the health record and accurately input in multiple data systems * Knowledge of Hospital Systems including STAR, PHS, HPF, HCI is an asset * Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Work, Excel and Access * Ability to work with high accuracy and speed * Keyboarding skills at 50 WPM mandatory * Ability to set priorities and work independently with minimal supervision * Ability to recognize need for collaboration with nursing staff and physician offices * Well-developed customer-focus skills * Demonstrated excellence in communication, both written and verbal * Demonstrated problem assessment skills * Demonstrated commitment to customer service and teamwork * Demonstrated individual leadership skills **Closing Statement** ***Regular and reliable attendance is an expected requirement of this position.*** At Southlake, we are committed to fostering an inclusive and accessible environment.
