As the Facilities Manager with a key focus on operations, you will ensure ensuring the smooth day-to-day functioning of our clinics, empowering physicians and clinical teams to deliver exceptional care. Founded in 1927, the Oshawa Clinic Group is proud to be one of Canadas largest and most respected medical clinic organizations, with over 145 physicians providing care across Durham Region. We have a long history of growth and innovation from our flagship clinic in Oshawa to the Courtice Health Centre and Taunton Health Centre, and most recently, our modern 154,000 sq. ft. Whitby Health Centre, which opened in 2024. Strategically located just east of Toronto, the Whitby Health Centre is equipped with the latest in healthcare facility design and offers comprehensive services, including Diagnostic Imaging, Sleep Lab, Cardiac Clinic, Audiology, and Laboratory Services. **KEY RESPONSIBILITIES** Lead and manage day-to-day maintenance and facility operations across all Oshawa Clinic Group locations to ensure a safe, efficient, and patient-centered environment. Oversee facilities and building operations, including maintenance, renovations, and vendor management. Collaborate with physicians, clinical staff, and administrative teams to ensure the physical environment supports seamless healthcare service delivery. Act as a liaison between facilities/maintenance teams and leadership to align infrastructure planning with operational goals. Conduct routine meetings with the maintenance and operations team to address issues, prioritize tasks, and implement continuous improvements. Provide oversight of building management, including detailed knowledge and application of relevant health, safety, fire, and building codes. Manage both routine and non-routine maintenance schedules, including preventive maintenance, emergency repairs, and contracted service work. Oversee the recruitment, training, and performance of facility support and maintenance staff and/ or outsourced services Manage relationships with external vendors and contractors, ensuring timely service delivery and adherence to contract terms and quality expectations. Assist in managing cost-control strategies for capital improvements and ongoing maintenance. Apply a strong technological understanding to support automation of facility scheduling, digital maintenance logs, and reporting systems. Utilize spreadsheet tools and building management software to analyze data, and inform decision-making for maintenance planning and upgrades. Respond promptly and effectively to operational or building-related issues to minimize disruption to clinical care and ensure patient and staff safety. **QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS** Post secondary education in healthcare administration, Business Management, or a related field; Experience in a facilities management or operations role, preferably within a healthcare setting. Knowledge of healthcare regulations, compliance, and quality assurance.
