Position: Maintenance SupervisorLocation: Oshawa,ON, On-site - 1st shift: 6:30AM 2:30PM/2nd shift: 2:30PM 10:30PM/3rd shift: 10:30pm 6:30AM (Must be open to all three shifts)Contract Length: 12 Months We at Raise are hiring a Maintenance Supervisor for one of our top clients. After establishing themselves as an industry leader, theyre now expanding their team to meet rising demand. DescriptionWe are currently looking for a full time Maintenance Leader in our Oshawa Assembly/OEM facility General Assembly Department. In this role, the successful incumbent will be responsible for upholding the company's purpose and values and ensuring the safe work practices of all its employees.You will develop and monitor business plan objectives by managing safety, people, quality, responsiveness, cost and environment. In order to achieve these objectives, you will work with UNIFOR and Plant floor managers from all departments to motivate, train and manage your employee productivity while driving continuous improvements throughout. You will have Supervisory responsibility over a group of Hourly employees engaged in plant production operations, including Electricians and Industrial Maintenance Mechanics. Work involves the coordination of a number of operations involving the ability to make decisions within the limits of general practices and policies. Work is performed under general supervision, while exercising a high level of independent judgment.ResponsibilitiesSupervise trades and assist them in achieving business objectivesAdminister labor relations as requiredEnforce strict adherence to safety policies and regulationsManage manpower to maintain throughput and all cost objectivesCoordinate maintenance, tooling and engineering schedule demand in area of responsibilitySupport ongoing Thru-put initiatives through Maximo PM completion and process improvementsEmbrace Global Manufacturing System (GMS) principles as they apply to maintenance organizationsLead activities during equipment breakdownsPlan and coordinate downtime work for MaintenanceRequirements Education/Experience:Open to 1-3 years of experienceAssociate degree in Engineering or related technical field preferred.Trained in skilled trades area or equivalent technical training.Leadership safety regulations, conflict resolution, motivating team members, training opportunitiesTechnical knowledge troubleshooting, schematics, manuals, automation (robots, PLC logic)Problem solving prioritizing resources, 5 why & root cause analysisMust-have hard skillsLeadership experience Technical background, skilled trades foreman, college, universityStandard computer skills
