The main object and function of this position is to proactively manage the facilitys maintenance department and programs in accordance with the LI NAM maintenance requirements. Supervise all activities related to production equipment maintenance and projects in a manner which is safe and efficient, in compliance with regulatory requirements, internal customer requirements, operating budgets and management requests. This needs to be conducted in a way that meets and promotes the LI NAM quality and safety objectives. Personnel and HSE Management: Manages a safe work environment and maintenance execution as well as the development of the maintenance technicians. Ensures direct supervision of Maintenance technicians to safely execute work activities at each facility for the unionized and non-unionized maintenance employees. Manages labor relations in accordance with the collective agreement where applicable. Proceeds with employee performance evaluations. Evaluates training needs and ensures employees receive adequate training. Manage maintenance activities: Establishes mid and long term maintenance strategies in response to priorities and equipment availability. Ensures alignment with LI Maintenance Policies and work practices. Develops and forecasts maintenance budgets, allocating resources effectively. Plans, organizes, and implements maintenance activities considering costs. Contributes to Major Turn-Around (TAR) planning and scheduling with the Centralized LI NAM Planning & Scheduling team. Oversees procurement for maintenance including spare parts and inventory management. Supports CMMS deployment and use at the sites. Ensure accurate and timely maintenance data entry in ERP and CMMS systems. Develops work order management protocols, monitors KPIs, and facilitates maintenance meetings. Conducts periodic reviews to maintain data integrity. Coordinates contractors and service providers, managing associated costs. Activity follow-up: Ensures maintenance is within budget, manages expenses, and maintains site KPIs. Keeps detailed records of maintenance activities and costs. Ensures preventive maintenance: Maintains and improves preventive maintenance systems, prepares schedules, and analyzes system effectiveness with the Reliability Engineer. Process improvement: Works with teams to improve work processes and equipment reliability, proposing modifications for efficiency and safety. Quality / Safety: Promotes safety, environmental, and quality objectives. Ensures maintenance plans support sustainable operations. Develops and enforces quality management procedures, conducts audits, and trains staff. Ensures compliance with industry standards and regulations. Qualifications: Bachelors Degree in engineering or mechanical technologist diploma. Training in process flows, safety, equipment, and hazardous materials. Knowledge of large compressors, turbo-expanders, refrigeration, CMMS (Maximo), Google Suite, Primavera, electrical and welding procedures, Canadian maintenance regulations. 7-10 years of supervisory experience in maintenance.
