Full-Time Posting date 13-Aug-2025 Area(s) of interest: Financial markets and treasury Location(s): Toronto As a Corporate Banking Associate in the Diversified team at National Bank, you will assist with the analyzing, structuring and origination of complex corporate credit files. In addition, you will be responsible for the ongoing monitoring of an existing portfolio of corporate credits. Your deep technical skills, including financial statement analysis, strong modeling capabilities and excellent communication skills, will assist in carrying out fundamental qualitative and quantitative analysis to support recommendations in the corporate credit process. The range of sectors covered is broad and includes a mix of public and privately owned companies, including sponsor backed leveraged credits. Your Job Support senior members of the Credit Capital Markets team on a variety of risk management and credit-based financing related activities Principal activities include financial, statistical and industry analysis, as directed by the more senior members of the product and coverage teams Preparation of credit underwriting materials for use in internal credit assessment and adjudication Participate in internal meetings on a variety of matters, and in external client meetings and pitches, as appropriate Work within a collaborative team environment that includes partnership and interaction with colleagues in investment banking, syndications, risk management, and other capital market product groups Emphasis is placed on analysis, financial modeling and written presentations Ability to interact effectively and build relationships with clients, colleagues, and other advisors Develop a strong foundation of required internal systems/processes and look to support continuous improvement and growth initiatives Stay informed on key trends, events and developments relating to sector coverage Your Team This position reports to the Managing Director, Credit Capital Markets, based in Toronto. The team, which includes one other Associate, prides itself on growth and agility. We work very closely across the other product groups and sectors within the bank, including investment banking, M&A, derivatives, and debt capital markets.
