Job Title: Shipping and Receiving ClerkLocation: Lachine, QC, Canada, H8T 3J8Pay Rate: $22.50/hourPrimary FunctionReporting to the Workshop Supervisor, this position is responsible for shipping and receiving goods, preparing shipping documentation, and coordinating transportation. This role is based in Lachine, one of the client's six satellite sites in Canada that support medium and large manufacturing facilities nationwide.Essential FunctionsPick parts for site orders, deliver to designated workstations, and store according to proper sequence and coding for timely Balance on Hand (BOH) reporting.Load parts onto pallets or carts.Maintain inventory accuracy for parts and quantities.Assist with internal inquiries and locating materials.Prepare shipping documentation, package, and strap outgoing shipments.Load and unload shipments using a forklift into truck trailers.Organize inventory throughout the warehouse.Participate in quarterly physical inventories and ensure accurate counts.Keep the loading dock ready to receive trucks.Maintain the Kanban parts system for the shipping/receiving department.Provide feedback and recommendations to improve workplace efficiency.Dispose of scrap materials efficiently.Maintain daily 5S responsibilities.Work safely at all times.Follow written/verbal instructions, system-generated pick documents, and established work routines.Promote company goals, philosophies, and continuous improvement through participation and teamwork.Minimum QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent from an accredited institution.At least 1 year of experience in a warehouse/logistics environment with material handling.Preferred QualificationsValid forklift license.2 years of warehouse experience.Experience with forklifts, hand trucks, counting scales, bins and storage racks, ladders, packing carts, packaging, pallets, and barcode readers.
