This hybrid position requires candidates to be based in Vancouver, Calgary, Edmonton, or Winnipeg.Were looking for a Health, Safety and Wellness Manager to lead ROBINSONs workplace safety programs, wellness initiatives, and injury prevention strategies across Western Canada. Reporting to the Vice President, People, this role develops and delivers policies, training, and innovative wellness solutions that build a safe, healthy, and engaged workforce.The successful candidate will bring a professional polish to programs while also demonstrating the ability to roll up their sleeves and develop a trusting connection with our teams whether its leading a session on safe lifting, completing an audit, or designing a wellness program. If you are looking for a challenging, diverse, and fun role (travel included!), wed love to hear from you.What you will do:Promote a comprehensive, cohesive and impactful safety and wellness cultureBe the safety expert, providing accurate and reliable health and safety advice and support to our people leadersUnderstand required provincial legislation and ensure safety compliance throughout the companyResearch and recommend creative and innovative approaches to accident/injury prevention, education and overall safety cultureIdentify and implement new or modified safety practices, including policies, procedures, hazard analysis, and trainingCollaborate with HR, training, facilities and operations to improve safety practices and cultureOversee local/branch workplace health & safety committees and audit programsIn collaboration with people leaders and HR Business Partners, facilitate return to work and/or modified duties programsTrack and analyze accident and injury data, providing regular reporting to senior leadershipMaintain accurate safety training records and ensure employee training is kept up to dateIdentify, coordinate and/or deliver safety training (WHMIS, fall protection, personal protection equipment, forklift training, CPR etc.)Lead injury and incident investigations, working with people leaders to review findings and develop hazard prevention & corrective action plansAbout you:At least five years as a senior professional or manager in a health and safety capacityPost secondary degree or diploma in a related field; Canadian Registered Safety Professional (CRSP) designation is an assetA professional presence with excellent organizational skills and attention to detailExperience developing and implementing safety programs across multiple locationsPassion for wellness and the role it plays in promoting a safe workplace cultureDemonstrated experience conducting analysis, formulating recommendations and facilitating implementationAbility to establish and leverage positive relationships with key stakeholdersEffective communicator, including the ability to prepare reports, deliver presentations and trainingAbility to travel, up to 50% at timesHave a valid drivers license and access to a personal vehicle to travel between locationsWork Location: This is a hybrid position, with preference for candidates based in Winnipeg, Vancouver, Calgary or Edmonton.For more information, or to submit your resume, please reach out to Matt Erhard at Summit Search Group, matt.erhard@summitsearchgroup.com Summit Search Group has a strong commitment to Diversity, Equality and Inclusion.
