If you are eager to learn, thrive in a dynamic environment, and want to make an impact, this opportunity is for you! **WHAT YOU WILL DO:** Responsible for using metal cutting machines and other specialized equipment to manufacture, modify, maintain, refurbish and repair punches, dies, cutting tools, jigs, fixtures, machine parts, prototypes, test equipment, display mounts, and automated equipment. **PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES****:** - Design, manufacture, modify, and repair production tooling and equipment - Troubleshoot tooling and equipment issues - Suggest tooling and equipment improvements - Support in the manufacture prototypes and test equipment for product engineering - Repair and maintain tool room equipment - Evaluate tooling and material needs (provide lists for order) - Measure and confirm new or modified tooling is built to dimensions and tolerances as outlined on the drawing - Rotation through various work areas and shifts - See PDA for comprehensive list of physical and work environment demands - Complies with all company policies and procedures - Performs other tasks as assigned by management **HEALTH & SAFETY****:** - Maintain a safe workplace - Wear Personal Protective equipment as required on the shop floor - Comply with the company policies, procedures, and OHSA (Occupational Health & Safety Act) - Participation is required in our internal responsibility system (right to know, right to refuse, right to participate) - Follow safe work and lockout / tagout procedures as required - Report unsafe conditions or hazards as soon as possible to your supervisor - Maintain a clean working environment - Adhere to and maintain WHMIS 2015 requirements - Annual medical surveillance may be required **5S****:** - Ensure your work area is maintained at required daily 5S standards (take 5 min at the end of your shift) - Support the monthly 5S clean up as required **QUALIFICATION****:** - Certified Tool and Die Maker - Ability to read blueprints - Ability to use various measuring devices - Working knowledge and experience with computers - Ability to read and follow work instructions - Solid knowledge of tool and fixture design - Knowledge of brazing, grinding, turning, drilling, milling, and heat treating - Ability to troubleshoot - Welding and CNC experience is an asset - Ability to work in a collaborative team environment **EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS****:** - O.S.S.D or equivalent - Tool & Die Maker license (Red Seal) - Certificate of apprenticeship **WHY JOIN MASCO CANADA?** - Over a Century of Excellence With more than 100 years of experience, Masco Canada has established itself as a leader in the building and home improvement industry. - Diverse Brand Portfolio We proudly offer 12+ brands delivering 20,000+ innovative water solutions, shaping the future of plumbing and home improvement. - Innovative Solutions Our commitment to cutting-edge plumbing and water technologies keeps us at the forefront of the industry. - Collaborative & Inclusive Culture We foster an environment where all employees are valued, respected, and empowered to contribute and grow. - Opportunities for Growth We support continuous learning, career development, and professional growth, helping you achieve your full potential. - Making an Impact in Our Communities We believe in giving back and actively supporting initiatives that make a difference in the communities where we live and work. **Join us at Masco Canada, where your contributions drive** **innovation, excellence, and positive change!** Masco Canada delivers innovative water solutions to the building and home improvement markets in Canada.
