The Kids Programs Manager plays a vital leadership role within the Cypress Mountain Snow School, with a focus on the delivery, development, and ongoing enhancement of our childrens programs. This role supports an inclusive and inspiring learning environment for both guests and team members, while operating within established procedures. Through team development, operational excellence, and a strong commitment to guest experience, the Kids Programs Manager helps drive the overall growth of the Snow School. With a focus on mentorship and collaboration, this leader sets the tone by examplefostering a culture of learning, adaptability, and continuous improvement within the childrens programming team. They also work closely with other departmental leaders to build a unified, forward-thinking Snow School. ESSENTAIL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES (including but not limited to the following): Leadership & Team Development Promote a positive, supportive environment where focus is on employee safety, while working towards zero employee injuries through proactive planning and engagement. Foster a learning culture through coaching, training, and development opportunities for Supervisors, Leads, and frontline team members. Support Assistant Director and Supervisors with: o Program development and evolution. o Ongoing professional development, including feedback loops, career pathing, and mentorship. o Addressing team member concerns/performance challenges with professionalism and care. Facilitate one-on-one check-ins and formal performance reviews to provide clarity, encouragement, and actionable feedback. Uphold consistent and fair HR practices including onboarding, scheduling support, recognition, and progressive discipline where required. Monitor program delivery standards to maintain consistency and elevate learning outcomes. Actively seek guest feedback and follow up with care and curiosity to improve services and build long-term relationships. Maintain strong knowledge of Cypress Mountain products, policies, seasonal updates, and ensure this is effectively communicated to frontline teams. Collaborate with the Admin and Health & Safety teams to ensure operational routines align with resort-wide standards. Operational and Strategic Focus Track and analyze program performance including enrolment, feedback trends, and staffing metrics to guide ongoing improvements. Support long-term planning and seasonal strategy for Kids Programs, including resource planning, scheduling efficiency, and capital project preparation. Monitor labor usage and supply costs to ensure strong financial responsibility within the area. Contribute to the vision and structure of seasonal onboarding and training sessions. QUALIFICATIONS/COMPETENCIES: 3+ years of supervisory or management experience in a Snow School. CSIA/PSIC Level 2+ (or international equivalent) is preferred. Proven leadership skills with a focus on coaching, clear communication, and developing high performing teams. In-depth knowledge of childrens programming, including awareness of safeguarding practices in a Snow School context. Calm and solutions-driven approach, with confidence to lead in fast-paced, high energy situations. Excellent interpersonal skills with a talent for motivating, guiding, and supporting diverse, and young teams. Solutions-focused mindset with the ability to stay calm and lead effectively in high-energy, dynamic environments. Experience in scheduling, program coordination, and budget considerations. Successful completion of a criminal record check required.
