As production volumes grow and operations become increasingly complex, the company is looking for a proven maintenance leader to drive equipment uptime, optimize preventive maintenance systems, and build a culture of accountability and continuous improvement. Reporting to the Director of Operations, this individual will consolidate maintenance leadership across multiple facilities, playing a pivotal role in supporting the companys expansion and long-term operational readiness.MandateThe Head of Maintenance will be responsible for leading maintenance operations across major facilities, ensuring equipment reliability, safety, and efficiency. They will oversee a team of 15+ skilled tradespeople, leads, and planners, while implementing robust preventive maintenance programs, improving CMMS utilization, and reducing unplanned downtime. This leader will play a critical role in integrating maintenance priorities with plant performance goals, ensuring that systems, processes, and teams are aligned to meet both short-term production targets and long-term strategic objectives.The Ideal Candidate:The ideal candidate is a seasoned maintenance professional with a track record of delivering high equipment uptime in automotive or heavy industrial manufacturing environments. They combine deep technical expertise in mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems with strong leadership and team development skills.They excel at introducing structure, driving accountability, and using data-driven decision-making to optimize performance. This leader thrives in fast-paced environments, balancing hands-on technical engagement with strategic oversight. They have successfully led cultural change, improved system discipline, and fostered cross-functional collaboration to achieve ambitious operational goals.Selection CriteriaExperience: 15+ years in maintenance roles within industrial, automotive, or metal manufacturing environments; strong hands-on technical background with plant equipment.Leadership: Minimum 5 years leading skilled trades teams across multiple shifts; proven ability to build high-performing teams and develop technical talent.Technical Expertise: In-depth knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems; PLC troubleshooting (Allen-Bradley and Siemens); preventive maintenance program development.Systems Discipline: Proficiency with CMMS platforms (e.g., Megamation) for scheduling, spare parts management, and work order execution.Education: Bachelors degree in engineering or related technical field; additional certifications in maintenance management, reliability, or industrial safety are an asset.Collaboration: Strong communicator and relationship-builder with the ability to partner effectively with operations, engineering, and production teams.Quick Facts:Employees: 600+Revenues: $700M+Reports into: Director of Operations Work Location: On-site - Windsor Union?: Non UnionizedReports: 15Egility is committed to creating and fostering culturally diverse, equitable, and inclusive organizations.
