The company is committed to operational excellence and continuous improvement, and as it continues to evolve, it is seeking a strategic and driven Director of Operations to lead cross-functional teams and drive productivity, innovation, and process transformation.Reporting directly to the Vice President and General Manager, the Director of Operations will provide leadership and oversight across Production, Procurement, and Engineering, driving performance and strategic alignment across functions. This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned operations leader with a strong background in manufacturingideally within the aerospace sectorwho is passionate about lean thinking, team development, and achieving results through collaboration and innovation.What youll be doing:Leading cross-functional teams to achieve productivity, quality, and cost targets while exceeding customer expectations.Engaging with senior leadership to implement Lean Manufacturing strategies and champion continuous improvement initiatives.Driving operational transformation through Industry 4.0 process improvements across all departments.Evaluating manufacturing operations to identify and implement strategies that enhance efficiency, reduce waste and lead times, improve inventory management, and strengthen overall performance.Building and maintaining a culture focused on employee engagement, safety, and continuous development.Using data-driven insights and KPIs to support performance monitoring, business decisions, and resource optimization.Leading budgeting and forecasting processes while identifying cost-saving opportunities and optimizing materials and supplies usage.Assessing workforce capability and addressing skill gaps to ensure optimal team performance.Supporting the companys annual strategic planning process and taking on other leadership duties as required.What we are looking for:A university degree in a relevant field.A minimum of five (5) years of progressive leadership experience in operations management, preferably in aerospace or advanced manufacturing.Proven success in leading cross-functional teams and driving process improvements.Strong analytical and data interpretation skills with the ability to communicate insights effectively.Advanced proficiency in MS Office and Microsoft Project.Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with a strong customer service mindset.A proactive, solutions-oriented approach to decision-making and problem-solving.Eligibility to meet Canadian Controlled Goods Program (CGP), U.S. ITAR, and Canadian Government security clearance requirements.At Venor and IMP Aerostructures, we embrace a culture of belonging in the workplace.
