Staff Security Engineer - Detect & ResponseMarqeta is seeking a Canada-based Staff Security Engineer to join our Security Operations & Response Team as a senior technical leader. In this role, you will lead our incident response program, proactively monitor for cyber threats, and act as incident commander across security events of all severities. You'll shape our response strategy by establishing methodologies aligned with the NIST Incident Response Lifecycle, maintaining our cybersecurity incident response plan, and driving continuous operational improvements. This position requires deep expertise in incident response, digital forensics, threat hunting, and security monitoring tools, along with the ability to provide strategic guidance across the organization.
