About the jobELECTRICAL & INSTRUMENTATION SUPERVISORActivity Sector: Pulp and PaperSite: KamloopsSalary Range: $115,000.00 - $130,00.00Schedule: Compressed Work Week (9-hour dayshifts, every other Friday off) YOUR ROLE Reporting to the Electrical & Instrumentation Superintendent, the Electrical & Instrumentation Supervisor will be responsible for the supervision of electrical and instrumentation trades people in a safety focused Kraft Pulp Mill. The role will be of interest to effective leaders who are dynamic, resourceful, self-starters and demonstrate a commitment to safety.Your ResponsibilitiesRepair, maintenance, calibration and verification of complex distribution equipment including hydro tie line transformers, electrical generation distribution and controls for three turbo generatorsSupervising E/I employees during scheduled and non-scheduled shutdownsAdhere to and promote company safety and environmental policiesCarrying out daily equipment maintenance work ordersProvide technical direction and supervision of Electricians and Instrumentation Mechanics as it applies to Variable Speed AC drive systems, MCCs, DCS control systems and related equipmentRead and interpret electrical drawings, code specifications, and respond to service requests for electrical problemsOversee the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical and instrumentation systemsIdentify and order the required materials, tools, and external services for E&I maintenance activitiesCollaborate with maintenance teams, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure efficient execution of E&I plansYour Skills And AbilitiesSafety focused;Self-directed and works with minimal supervision;Confident communicator at all levels of organization including listening, writing and presentingChange agent with the ability to collaborate well with others;Strong problem solving & analytical skills, excellent judgment and confidentiality;Proven organizational skills with the ability to prioritize effectively and manage multiple tasks in an environment with competing demands;Detail orientedStrong analytical skillsExceptional leadership skills with proven ability to coach varying levels of the operation;Work well in team and possess a friendly and positive demeanor and professional image.Your QualificationsPossess an Interprovincial Red Seal Certification in Electrical or InstrumentationPrevious experience supervising trades in a safety focused, industrial work environmentProficient in maintenance systems development, implementation and useExperience with PLCs and related equipment, i.e. GE 90-30 and RX3i systemsExperience with Distributed Control Systems i.e. Provox/DeltaVProficient with computers including experience in working with a computerized maintenance management system (SAP)Previous experience planning and scheduling within a multi trade work environment is considered an asset;A dual ticket or experience in Electrical and Instrumentation would be an asset.
