Our client, is a leading clean technology company that designs, manufactures and distributes a comprehensive line of high-efficiency air emissions control systems used to eliminate odors, volatile organic compounds (VOCs), and hazardous air pollutants (HAPs). Summary: In this role, you will be responsible for comprehending the production, project and logistical needs/requirements to ensure material and product deliveries meet timelines and budgets. Building strong relationships and partnerships across the company and vendors to leverage ideas, capabilities, and processes is critical to the role. This work requires attention to detail, managing multiple priorities and taking actions with minimal direction. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS / AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:Utilizing the ERP system, enter & issue purchase orders as directed. Purchase goods, services or materials according to the companys buying guidelines. Ensure non-project related purchases are issued quickly and accurately with feedback to requestor(s).Evaluate and monitor supplier performance and if necessary, identify / recommend alternates. Develop, maintain and improve supplier relationships. Manage vendors to ensure preferred supplier standards offered and vendors operate in accordance. Negotiate, renew or cancellation of contracts with authorized/approved vendors as directed.Procure and manage the production supplier of biofilter media as well as the raw materials required to support production.Performs cost analysis and volume planning create a production plan and communicate to all areas of the company as directed.Working with the Project Managers, coordinate the purchase and logistics/delivery of biofilter medias.Support the Applications Engineering team with bid quoting and costing. Reviewing the specifications and ensuring bid quotes meeting the requirements and mention all exceptions.Identify and resolve day-to-day purchasing issues in accordance with procedures & policiesAd-hoc duties as requiredKNOWLEDGE & EXPERTISE:2-3 years work experience in Materials Management/Purchasing (preferably in a manufacturing environment). Must be computer literate & proficient in Microsoft packages.Occasional (company paid) travel (to meet vendors or go to production facility etc.) will be required eventually.Microsoft Dynamics/Business Central experience considered an asset.Experience in air emissions control and/or wastewater industry an asset.
