(dba Allen Family Foods)Director of FinanceAllen Family Foods is seeking a problem solving, dedicated, team-oriented finance professional to join its finance team and its rapidly growing business as Director of Finance.About the businessAFF produces premium quality soups and ready to eat meals in innovative retail packaging. Our company has seen major revenue increase and we sell product globally to Costco and other major retailers.Allen Family Foods is a family-owned business with over 80 years of experience in the food industry.The opportunityThere is an exciting opportunity for mentoring, increased finance and business knowledge and for evolution and advancement given the pace of growth in the business and the lean finance team. The business is a dynamic environment and there will be an opportunity to learn and collaborate with operations and sales. The Director of Finance will be reporting to the CEO.The Director of Finance will oversee the day-to-day finance and accounting function of AFF. They will collaborate with the part-time VP Finance and the CEO. There is an opportunity for this role to develop over time.Timing and location: The role will be a full time and in-person based at the companys modern, state of the art offices in Abbotsford, BC.Responsibilities Oversee accounting and day to day treasury management. Review and oversee preparation of month end financial statements. Overseeing the inventory accounting process and calculation of manufacturing COGS. Preparing financial reports such as monthly KPI dashboard and financial statements. ERP management and oversight. Month-end and year-end closing. Annual budget and forecast process Assist in completing year end assurance compilation and reviews. Oversee human resources and payroll team.Qualifications CPA with 6+ years of progressive experience in a manufacturing or product-based environment. Hands-on experience leading ERP implementations and managing inventory and costing processes Deep experience with QuickBooks or other accounting programs. High level analytical skills and experience with analytical tools and applications. Comfortable being both strategic and operational, capable of rolling up their sleeves. Excellent problem-solving skills. Experience preparing monthly and annual financial reports for executives and shareholders.
