**About the Position** The HR Business Partner (HRBP) position is responsible for aligning business objectives with employees and management. The position formulates partnerships across the HR function to deliver value-added service to management and employees that reflects the business objectives of the organization. You will serve as a strategic liaison to leadership that maintains an effective level of business literacy about the business unit''s financial position, its midrange plans, its culture and its competition. When faced with a new challenge or ambiguity (also known as ''grey'' areas!) you identify practical solutions that make a difference. **Responsibilities** Acts as a business partner to our People Leaders on human resource and employee relations matters, supporting and coaching as needed to ensure compliance and consistency. Keep up to date with applicable provincial legislation and make recommendations to the business. - Conducts regular meetings with portfolio leaders to discuss ongoing business needs. - Consults with leadership providing HR guidance when appropriate. - Analyzes trends and metrics in partnership with the HR group to develop, implement and communicate solutions, programs and policies. - Manages and resolves complex employee relations issues. Conducts effective, thorough and objective investigations. - Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance. Partners with the legal department as needed/required. - Provides day-to-day performance management guidance to leadership (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions). - Works closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention. - Provides HR policy guidance and interpretation. - Work with key stakeholders to fulfill workforce staffing plans. Manage full-cycle recruitment and selection process, promotions, transfers etc. - Provides guidance and identify training needs on individual development/coaching and succession planning. Follows up to ensure training objectives are met - Participates in presentation of training programs to ensure success. - Process HRIS data requests, ensuring integrity and accuracy of data. - Administer, facilitate and deliver compensation review process in UKG. Provide coaching and guidance to People Leaders around compensation philosophy. - Administer performance management process (goal setting, coaching, etc.) and assist with tracking and reporting as required. Ensure information is accurate and provide training and technical support to end users. - Performs other related duties as assigned. - Ability to travel to work locations as and when needed, on a regular basis. **Qualifications and Experience** A minimum of 5 years experience in a well-rounded HRBP role is required. Demonstrated experience in the various HR functional areas - employee relations, recruitment, compensation, performance management, training and development, and policy related work. A post secondary diploma or degree in either Business, Human Resources or a related field is required. 2 or more years experience working with UKG or another HRIS system. Intermediate to senior level experience in Microsoft Office suite of products is desired: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams. A deep knowledge of HR programs and practices, including applicable federal and provincial employment laws and regulations is required. **Skills** Demonstrated analytical thinking, problem solving, and decision making skills.
