The Glulam Supervisor, under the direction of the General Manager of Modular and Fabrication, is responsible for executing a highly effective plant safety program, maintaining a dynamic team building environment, and achieving production and quality targets. Supervision and Leadership Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by establishing, following, and enforcing standards and procedures, complying with legal regulations in collaboration with the Safety Department. Manage production to ensure customer schedule requirements and deliveries are achieved. Maintain a detailed production schedule that aligns with project and customer expectations. Initiate corrective actions when necessary to support safety, quality, and efficiency. Coordinates activities across multiple shifts to maintain consistent quality, safety, and productivity. Grow the operations team through coaching, training, and performance feedback. Support knowledge transfer and skill building through Safe Work Procedures, SOPs, and training documents. Provide clear instructions and expectations to ensure smooth operation of the facility. Customer Focus Manage production to consistently meet project timelines and customer delivery expectations. Ensure production of quality products that reflect Kalesnikoffs world-class standards. Align product quality across all production shifts for consistency and reliability. Assist in inventory management, including consuming tags, shipping material, counts for excess hardware after job completion and reviewing available raw materials for use. Apply knowledge and experience with carpentry tools, CNC equipment, and other technology to support production improvements. Interpret shop drawings, 3D models (BIM/CAD), and glulam files to guide modular builds. Quality Control Maintain industry-leading quality across all product lines. Develop Safe Work Procedures, SOPs, and operating documents to ensure consistency and quality. Create production documents, run instructions, and provide clear direction to teams. Monitor and verify product quality to ensure alignment with customer and company expectations. Understand and comply with all company policies and procedures. Post-secondary education in construction, manufacturing carpentry or a related field. Red Seal Carpentry is preferred. Experience working with engineered wood products would be an asset. Knowledge of wood manufacturing equipment and processes. Previous scheduling and payroll experience is considered an asset. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs. Exposure to industrial noise, moving equipment, and overlapping work-zones. Constant finger dexterity and ability to hear, and talk, on/off radio in an industrial setting.
