You will act as a trusted advisor, providing comprehensive and tailored financial information to help clients make confident, informed decisions.We are a proudly Canadian firm, leading in business strategies, solutions, and advisory services nationwide. Our entrepreneurial spirit drives us to transform mid-market business practices by turning obstacles into opportunities.ResponsibilitiesLead client-facing engagement teams to execute complex audits, reviews, compliance tax engagements, budgeting, internal controls, and financial transactions.Provide industry and technical expertise in audit and assurance through client interactions, reports, technical work, management presentations, and high-quality deliverables.Manage a portfolio of clients, understanding their business, risks, and opportunities to add value; foster relationship and account growth.Plan and schedule engagements, manage project financials including budgets, WIPS, billing, collections, and variance analysis.Ensure quality control and address issues relevant to clients business, financial entries, and reporting.Network within the local business community, explore business development opportunities, and contribute to proposals to meet client needs.Contribute to strategic and operational planning for client and practice management, and enhance work processes through innovative ideas.Mentor, motivate, and coach team members, setting expectations, providing feedback, and conducting performance reviews.Maintain flexibility to travel as needed.Skills and ExperienceMinimum of 7 years of relevant public accounting experience.Strong understanding of business, accounting, management, and practice development principles.Proven leadership, relationship-building, and people management skills.Excellent strategic planning and conceptual thinking abilities.Discover more about life on Vancouver Island at MNP through our team member videos, community insights, and opportunities: high-potential earnings with customized rewards supporting our culture and work-life balance.
