The Virtual Psychiatry Unit represents a novel approach to delivering acute Mental Health and Substance Use care to clients across the Fraser Health Region. This innovative program offers the opportunity to work within a team-based, inter-professional care environment. Care is administered to acute patients directly in their homes and through virtual channels. As a qualified or eligible Psychiatrist, you will be tasked with delivering top-tier care to adult patients served by Fraser Health, as part of an interdisciplinary team. Your responsibilities will include consulting at the new Virtual Psychiatry Unit, actively engaging in outreach to patients' residences. Although this position provides fully remote clinical care (including virtual on-call) - In person attendance for occasional team meetings may be required. Services encompass assessment, outpatient treatment and consultation, conducting family meetings, organizing case conferences, discharge planning, and educating psychiatry residents and medical students.
