Project Manager Hydropower & Dams Location: Buffalo/Niagara Falls Region, NY (Remote With Client site visits) Type: Full-Time | Mid to Senior Level Travel: Frequent site visits required; occasional domestic/international travel possible Salary Range: $120,000k -$175,000k USD About the Role: We are seeking a highly motivated Project Manager with strong experience in hydropower, dam infrastructure, and energy-related civil works . In this role, youll lead the design and delivery of large-scale infrastructure projects while managing relationships with existing and prospective clients. Youll work cross-functionally with diverse internal teams, engineers, and stakeholders to ensure quality outcomes aligned with safety, sustainability, and client objectives. This position offers a flexible hybrid work environment , with the ability to work from home and/or a designated office, while providing the opportunity to impact vital energy infrastructure across North America and beyond . Key Responsibilities: Manage full project life cycle from planning and design through execution and construction support for hydropower and dam-related projects Lead and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure successful project delivery, scope alignment, and technical quality Support business development through client engagement, proposal development, and relationship-building Establish project objectives, procedures, and performance standards; maintain schedules, budgets, and contractual compliance Conduct site visits and support field operations as needed Foster internal collaboration across engineering disciplines and geographies Mentor junior team members and help develop future leadership within the organization Represent the organization professionally with clients, regulators, and industry groups Champion company policies, including health and safety, quality assurance, and risk management Qualifications: Required: Bachelors degree in Civil, Structural, or Mechanical Engineering 810 years of engineering experience, preferably within hydropower, water infrastructure, or dam projects Proven project management expertise, with a strong understanding of design and construction cycles Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to interact with and lead cross-functional teams and external stakeholders at all levels Willingness and ability to travel frequently for site visits Preferred: Professional Engineering (PE) license Experience transitioning from technical engineering roles into project management Familiarity with FERC regulations and hydropower facility engineering Strong client-facing and relationship-building skills Work Environment & Culture: This role is ideal for a hands-on, solution-oriented leader who thrives in a collaborative environment.
