Job Title

We are seeking a motivated and reliable Farm Hand to join our mixed farming operation which includes beef cattle and broadacre cropping. The successful candidate will assist with livestock care, cropping tasks, and general farm maintenance. This is a hands-on role requiring flexibility, physical fitness, and a willingness to work across different areas of the farm depending on seasonal needs. **Livestock (Beef Cattle) Duties: Feed and water beef cattle according to nutritional requirements Monitor animal health and report signs of illness or injury Assist with calving, tagging, vaccinations, and other animal care tasks Move cattle between pastures and assist with loading/unloading as needed Operate farm machinery (e.g., tractors, loaders, ATVs) for feeding, transport, and maintenance Repair and maintain fencing, gates, water systems, and general farm infrastructure Clean and maintain barns, yards, and equipment Follow all safety and biosecurity protocols Assist with haymaking, silage, and other seasonal farm tasks **Cropping Duties: Assist with planting, fertilizing, and harvesting of crops Operate and maintain farm machinery Handle and store grain and other inputs properly Help with maintenance of equipment, vehicles, and storage facilities **General Farm Duties: Perform routine maintenance and repairs on infrastructure and equipment Maintain cleanliness and safety around sheds, machinery, and work areas Follow all safety procedures and farm biosecurity protocols Work collaboratively with other team members and management **Qualifications & Skills: Prior experience in livestock handling and/or cropping operations preferred Ability to handle and work around large animals safely Ability to operate and maintain machinery and tools safely and efficiently Physically fit and capable of manual labor in varied weather conditions Mechanically minded with basic repair and fencing skills Valid drivers license Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and attention to detail, punctual, dependable Willingness to learn and follow directions **Work Conditions: Outdoor work in all weather conditions Long/variable hours during peak seasons (e.g., harvest, calving) including weekends and holidays as needed Exposure to animals, dust, manure, farm chemicals, and machinery Some heavy lifting and repetitive manual tasks **Compensation: $22.00 per hour ***Please email OR call Steve at (519)270-1550***
