About Us Since 1932, Camp Katonim has been creating lasting memories for children ages 416. Located less than an hour from Toronto, on the southernmost bay of Lake Simcoe in Roches Point, our summer day camprooted in Jewish values and traditions offers an overnight feel in a day-camp setting. Campers enjoy an extensive waterfront program (waterskiing, swimming, sailing, paddleboarding, kayaking, canoeing), along with sports, creative arts, and innovative weekly programming. Position Overview Camp Katonim is seeking an engaging, motivational leader to serve as Camp Director. Reporting to the Camp Board President, the Director is responsible for overseeing all camp operations, staff, and programming to ensure high-quality, safe, and memorable experiences for campers and families. Part-time (remote): November 2025 June 2026 Full-time (on-site): July August 2026 (Weekends off) Key Responsibilities Plan, coordinate, and deliver dynamic summer camp programming. Recruit, hire, train, evaluate, and retain staff. Oversee site management, safety, and compliance with health/regulatory standards. Develop and manage budgets in collaboration with the Camp Board. Lead communications, promotions, and camper recruitment initiatives. Build strong relationships with parents and ensure excellent customer service. Prepare facilities, inventory, and staff for summer operations. Ensure compliance with Ontario Camps Association (OCA) standards and inspections. Qualifications Bachelor''s degree Bachelor of Education (preferred) Minimum 5 years of camp experience, including 2+ years in camp leadership. At least 4 years supervising staff and/or volunteers. Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Experience in budget management and strategic planning. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and CampBrain. Current Standard First Aid & CPR-C, valid Driver''s License, and Police Background Check.
