Job Overview We are seeking a Research Development Specialist to provide assistance and reporting to the R&D Director in all aspects of day-to-day duties. Responsibilities: Lead and support the formulation of new products, researching and sourcing ingredients, conducting benchtop testing, coordinating and attending plant trials, completing third-party certification requirements, and bringing visions to life. Assist on design and develop testing plans and protocols for new products. Collaborate with the R&D team. Direct and coach co-op students when required. Plan, and execute experiments at all scales, gathering and analyzing data, documenting and reporting results, and making recommendations that are data-driven. Support Regulatory and QA initiatives to ensure all specifications (formulation, labeling) are accurately developed and compliant with regulations. Work with processing teams to secure new product development success to commercial scale. Assist conducting scientific experiments to assess, monitor, and improve product formulation, costs, quality, and manufacturing efficiency. Maintain accurate records of all technical work and documentation. Support overall timeline development and project management initiatives.
