The Opportunity As the Director, Program & Infrastructure Modernization, you will lead a transformative 18-month initiative to modernize Banyan Community Service's physical infrastructure and program model redesign in support of our 24 / 7 / 365 youth justice operations. This role is critical to ensuring our facilities are safe, efficient, and aligned with the evolving needs of our youth, staff, and community partners. You will be responsible for leading the full modernization of one youth justice site, with the potential to expand similar initiatives to an additional location. This work will focus on redesigning programs, spaces, and systems, and integrating modern technologies and practices to enhance service delivery. Where capital improvements are required, you will ensure they meet all regulatory and safety standards. You will also lead internal change management efforts, working collaboratively with staff to ensure they are supported, engaged, and confident throughout the transition to new systems and environments. Working closely with the CEO and Senior Management Team, you will provide strategic direction, manage complex stakeholder relationships, including unions, funders, and government partners, and ensure that all modernization efforts are delivered on time, on budget, and with measurable impact. Qualifications & Expectations Project & Change Leadership Demonstrated success leading complex modernization or redesign initiatives in high-pressure environments. Strong project management skills, with a PMP designation (or lived experience). Proven ability to deliver initiatives on time and on budget while maintaining alignment with organizational priorities. Data-Informed Decision Making Skilled at collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data to guide strategic decisions. Able to translate data insights into practical improvements in programs, operations, and service delivery. Experience using both quantitative and qualitative data to evaluate impact and drive continuous improvement. Stakeholder Management Experience working directly with diverse stakeholders, including unions, funders, government, and community partners. Skilled at navigating environments with multiple and often competing priorities, building alignment across groups. Sector Understanding Strong knowledge of 24 / 7 / 365 operational environments (such as youth justice, health care, or similar). Familiarity with evidence-based and evidence-informed program models that drive service excellence. Independent and Resourceful Comfortable working with limited administrative support and navigating barriers to achieve outcomes. Self-sufficient and able to drive results through influence, collaboration, and relationship-building rather than direct authority. Capable of managing and maintaining paper-based reporting processes while helping to shape future improvements.
