Overview Taproom Manager (Full Time) at MERIT Brewing Limited Location: Hamilton, ON (On site). The role is described as Taproom Manager with responsibilities and qualifications outlined below. Responsibilities Maintain up-to-date knowledge of current draft offerings and menu options. Utilize the POS system to input orders, apply discounts, complete overrides, and manage customer transactions. Handle customer concerns and unforeseen challenges; provide training and supervision of FOH staff. Complete supervisory opening, mid-shift, and closing tasks including cleaning, prep tasks, opening/closing, and cash reconciliation. Administrative tasks including scheduling and inventory control. Qualifications Previous experience in a restaurant with a minimum of 1 year in a supervisory role required. Smart Serve and food safety certification required. Beer certification (e.g., Prudhomme level 1 or similar) is an asset. Experience with Open Table, Silverware, or other POS programs is an asset. Proven ability to build rapport and facilitate positive guest experiences; friendly, professional, and engaging with a can-do attitude. Passion for craft beer/food and beverage industry; team player who supports coworkers; effective verbal communication skills. Ability to think on your feet, strong guest service mindset. Working Conditions Evenings, weekends, and holiday shifts are part of the role. Extended periods of walking and standing; ability to lift up to 25 kg.
