PLASP operates in more than 240 schools providing before school, lunch, and after school programs and 30 full-day early learning and child care centres and six EarlyON locations for children from 0 6 years. Responsibilities Establishing and maintaining a safe, warm and caring environment in which a high-quality extended day program can operate Planning, developing, and implementing programs of stimulating age appropriate activities for groups of children. Activities will promote their physical, social, emotional and intellectual well-being, in accordance with the Child Care Early Years Act (CCEYA), How Does Learning Happen (HDLH?), and the guidelines established by PLASP for all program components including P.A. Days Budgeting and ordering food for the program, preparing nutritious breakfasts and snacks while adhering to the guidelines of the Canada Food Guide, and in accordance with the rotational snack planner Supervising and training staff, volunteers and students on placement (if applicable), by providing strong leadership, decision making and problem-solving skills and conducting regular performance appraisals Responsible for all administration for the program, including registration, record-keeping, health and safety monitoring and ordering of supplies Operating programs according to the Ministry of Education (MEDU) standards and ensuring the CCEYA license is in good standing Participating fully in P.A.
