The Principal Manager will manage Principal relationships in the assigned portfolio for Caldic North America where applicable, with an emphasis on execution, relationship management and support to the Commercial team. Focus on strategically owning our Principal relationships to drive business development, optimize sourcing, ensure reliable and cost-effective supply aligned with our corporate strategy while collaborating with Business Team Leaders and internal stakeholders. Drive Principals performance to achieve mutual strategic objectives and analyze and report on Principal performance. Collaborate with Principals to build strategy for business development proposals for expansion. Gain market insights to translate relevant trends into objectives, generating an actionable strategic business plan. Maintain day-to-day interactions with the assigned Principals including maintaining good working relationships. Support the Commercial team and Pricing team with periodic contracting processes, RFQs, and regular costing needs. Work with the Replenishment Team to ensure product availability based on customer and internal needs. Support internal teams at Caldic when escalation to Principals is needed. Establish multi-level connections within each Principals businesses. Provide resources to implement, support, and enforce health and safety policies and programs in compliance with all applicable laws and Caldic procedures. Leverage business intelligence tools to drive the strategy in the designated clusters of distributed products. Interact with senior management to help build management reports including Principal Development commentary. Knowledge / Skills and Experience Post-Secondary Education in Business Administration or a related field. 3-5 years experience in Product / Category Management, Business Development or Procurement. Knowledge of Supply Chain and Inventory Management. Advanced computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite, OLAP, CRM and ERP tools). Strong communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills. Strong organization skills. Problem solving and systemic thinking skills, critical analytics / diagnosis; focus on continuous improvement. Strong customer service focus : ability to relate to people at all levels and build trusted relationships. Good prioritization and decision-making skills and judgment to drive the right impact. Works well in a team environment. Committed to continuous learning and providing and receiving candid feedback.
