You will review proposals, negotiate prices, select the best suppliers, analyze trends, follow up with placed orders, verify delivery, approve payment, and maintain necessary records. Responsibilities Initial preparation and issuance of Request for Quotations (RFQs) for a wide range of commodities Process modifications to terms and conditions of purchase agreements Provide direction and support to suppliers throughout program management and product launches Champion cost-improvement activities including packaging, freight, tooling, pricing, and quality Communicate consistently with key suppliers on expectations and performance Perform commercial analysis on suppliers to develop more efficient processes and cost-effective solutions Compliance with Quality and EHS Policies and Procedures (IATF 16949, ISO 9001, ISO 14001) Qualifications Bachelors degree or equivalent equivalent experience in purchasing, inventory, or supply chain management 35 years of progressive purchasing experience, with indirect purchasing (MRO) required Manufacturing industry experience preferred ERP system user experience Excellent written and verbal communication skills Advanced experience in strategic sourcing in manufacturing environments Strong record of supplier cost savings and performance improvements
