Overview Ophthalmology Omnichannel Analytics Partner Join to apply for the Ophthalmology Omnichannel Analytics Partner role at Astellas Pharma. This position is based in Canada and will not require on-site work, with occasional travel to the Northbrook office possible. Purpose The Omnichannel Analytics (OCA) Partner provides strategic and tactical business insights and recommendations to Marketing, Agencies, and Omnichannel Strategy & Operations (OSO) teams to support brand promotional and campaign objectives. This role leverages data to drive insights, optimize customer experiences, and contribute to omnichannel initiatives, including projects that analyze and measure promotional effectiveness using advanced machine learning models. The position collaborates with global/regional brand teams, Strategic Insights & Analytics teams, Omnichannel Strategy & Operations, Data Governance, and DigitalX teams to harmonize data and share insights. Essential Job Responsibilities Collaborate with brand stakeholders and cross-functional teams to understand objectives, campaign measurability, and develop analytic plans to measure performance and inform data-driven strategies that enhance the omnichannel experience. Provide actionable insights through ongoing reporting and ad hoc analyses of all omnichannel engagements and digital tactics, including personal and non-personal promotions. Support development and implementation of machine learning algorithms to drive personalized recommendations and targeted marketing campaigns across channels based on individual preferences and behaviors. Conduct in-depth analysis of promotional and non-promotional data and develop predictive models to forecast HCP preferences, behavior, and overall omnichannel engagement. Analyze marketing performance using statistical or machine learning techniques to measure the impact of channels and tactics and recommend budget allocation and optimization opportunities. Socialize insights from channel/promotional analyses with Global/Regional leads and assist in optimally leveraging reporting dashboards for performance assessment and opportunities discovery. Provide consulting to stakeholders in campaign design and requirements gathering to ensure objectives are measurable, assets are properly tagged, and data integrity is maintained. Develop and implement KPIs to measure effectiveness of omnichannel initiatives. Evaluate and evolve training to uplift analytics capabilities. Develop Omnichannel Analytics plans to support campaign and portfolio optimization and continually improve methodologies. Own management of Non-Personal target lists, analyzing inclusion criteria to align with campaign goals. Work with Marketing, Media Agencies, IS, and Data Engineering to consolidate promotional data for a unified view of customer interactions. Participate in ensuring omnichannel data are integrated into Astellas data warehouse, quality-checked against media plans and spend, and validated with agency partners; monitor data trends to identify discrepancies. Collaborate with media agency partners on performance reporting and governance. Stay current with industry trends and best practices in data science and omnichannel strategies. Manage third-party providers as needed to meet contractual obligations and quality standards. Embed an Ethics and Compliance culture and address non-compliance proactively. Qualifications Required Bachelors degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field. 6+ years of analytics/data science experience with a focus on omnichannel analytics and project management experience. Experience in non-personal promotional analytics (HCP and Consumer); strong understanding of digital marketing media and promotional tactics. Strong knowledge of omnichannel concepts and data sources (e.g., impressions, click data, web data). Proficiency with SQL, SAS and/or Python, MS Excel, and PowerPoint. Proficiency in machine learning techniques, statistical analysis, and data visualization (e.g., classification models, promotion response modelling, predictive modelling). Experience with MarTech platforms (Google Analytics or Adobe Analytics, CM360, Search Ads, Meta). Experience in KPI and diagnostic metrics development and optimization. Experience presenting business insights and recommendations. Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to interact with all levels including senior management. Excellent organizational, planning, and project management skills; ability to manage cross-functional projects in a multi-cultural context, including vendor management and compliance. Ability to work independently in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with minimal supervision and a sense of urgency for changing priorities. Ability to travel approximately 10%. Preferred Qualifications M.S. in Statistics or Economics or related quantitative field; MBA with Marketing Analytics/Decision Science/Analytical Finance concentration is a plus. Pharmaceutical industry experience. Understanding of other Commercial Insights functions (primary/secondary market research, forecasting, competitive intelligence). Working knowledge of data visualization tools (e.g., Excel, QlikView, QlikSense). Knowledge of healthcare data sources such as patient-level data. Experience working with global partners.
