We offer:Work-life harmony with access to an award-winning holistic wellness programContinuous learning through our robust corporate curriculum and education reimbursement programIncredible rewards, travel incentives, and product and service discountsPay-for-performance and best-in-class recognition programsCompetitive benefits that include a defined contribution plan, personal spending account, and so much moreJoin our growing team where everyone belongs!ResponsibilitiesReview and approve incoming vendor estimates to ensure quality and technical competence.Provide scope review and seek clarity from the vendor on estimates; negotiate costs with vendors/contractors.Provide dispute-resolution services on estimate reviews relative to the CAA member, vendors and the Insurance company.Provide advice to Property adjusters when exceptions are encountered.Coordinate the appraisal resources to ensure assignments are dispatched.Participate in industry events and various special projects for the benefit of the claims department as identified from time-to-time.QualificationsMinimum of 1-3 years experience in building construction as a project manager or as a senior property adjuster with an insurance carrierWorking knowledge of XACTANALYSIS platform and XACTIMATE softwareFamiliarity with the building code and hazardous material exposure managementEducational background including relevant post-secondary education complemented by a CIP designation or working towards a CIP designationIICRC Fire and Water restoration certification would be an assetStrong organizational, decision making and problem solving skills with excellent written and verbal communicationAdvanced technical knowledge of property damage analysisAdvanced negotiation skills and investigative logicPlease note that internal applicants are asked to formally express their interest by applying online no later than 10 business days of the position being posted.Our CommitmentWe are an equal opportunity employer and are committed to providing employment accommodation in accordance with all applicable Provincial Human Rights and Accessibility Legislation.
