Overview - Albanian Speaking Personal Support Worker We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Support Workers to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential assistance to individuals in various settings, including nursing homes, assisted living facilities, and private homes. Your primary focus will be on enhancing the quality of life for seniors and individuals with disabilities through personalized care and support. Responsibilities Provide direct patient care, including assistance with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming. Administer medications as prescribed and monitor patients for any side effects or changes in condition. Support individuals with meal preparation and ensure proper nutrition is maintained. Assist with mobility and physical activities, including heavy lifting when necessary. Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients by performing light housekeeping tasks. Engage clients in meaningful activities to promote social interaction and mental stimulation. Document patient care activities accurately and communicate effectively with healthcare professionals regarding any concerns or changes in patient status. Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a trusting relationship. Assist in case management by coordinating services and resources for clients as needed. Requirements Previous experience in nursing homes, senior care, or working with individuals with disabilities is preferred. Knowledge of dementia care practices and medication administration is highly desirable. Familiarity with medical terminology and patient care protocols is beneficial. Experience in home care or hospice care settings is a plus. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively as part of a team or independently. Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and assist clients with mobility needs. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail in caregiving tasks.
