Overview Rubicon Organics mission is to grow the best cannabis on Earth and for the Earth. We operate out of our state-of-the-art indoor cultivation and processing facility in Hope, BC, and are expanding quickly as Canadas leading house of premium brands. We are opening a new indoor facility in Hope and are seeking an experienced, dynamic Director of Operations Hope to oversee all facets of this facility and help maintain the industrys standard for operational excellence. The Director of Operations Hope will be responsible for the daily management and operational success of cultivation, processing, maintenance, facilities, quality assurance, and inventory & warehouse teams. While cultivation strategy is driven by the Director of Cultivation and quality assurance strategy by the Senior Manager, Quality, the Director of Operations Hope will own the day-to-day delivery of results, people leadership, and continuous improvement. Responsibilities Lead, mentor, and manage a team of cultivation, processing, maintenance, facilities, quality assurance, and inventory & warehouse staff to achieve operational goals. Foster a culture of safety, accountability, and collaboration across all teams. Coordinate with the Director of Cultivation to implement cultivation strategies and hit production targets. Partner with the Senior Manager, Quality to execute quality assurance and control programs and maintain compliance with Health Canada regulations. Oversee day-to-day operations of the indoor grow and processing facility. Ensure equipment is properly maintained and facility systems operate at peak efficiency. Ensure all processes comply with Health Canada regulations, WorkSafeBC standards, and company policies. Work closely with the Senior Manager, Quality to implement and maintain SOPs and quality management systems. Manage documentation, reporting, and audits to guarantee the highest product standards are met. Collaborate with the Vice President of Operations on strategic planning to scale production, optimize throughput and quality, and drive cost efficiencies. Identify opportunities for process improvements using Lean or Six Sigma methodologies. Contribute to the development and refinement of SOPs to support growth and operational consistency. Develop and manage operational budgets, forecasts, and resource plans for the facility. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and implement corrective actions to ensure targets are met. Oversee capital projects, equipment upgrades, and maintenance plans. Qualifications 7+ years of progressive operations management experience in a regulated agricultural, horticultural, or processing environment. 3+ years of experience in cannabis cultivation operations, preferably indoor facility management. Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams to achieve production, quality, and safety objectives. Strong financial acumen with experience managing budgets, forecasting, and cost control. Proven track record driving continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, Six Sigma, or similar). Excellent knowledge of Health Canada regulations and industry best practices. Bachelors degree in Horticulture, Agriculture, Business, Engineering, or related field (Masters or professional certification in operations management is an asset).
