At Uncapped, we invest in growing businesses and ambitious founders and we are looking for a talented Investment Analyst to join our Investment team. This is an exciting opportunity to learn how to assess digital / e-commerce companies and be a part of the venture ecosystem. We are a small team and you will have the opportunity to work directly with our portfolio companies and play a role in our investment decisions. You will work with a diverse group of e-commerce founders and help them secure the financing they need to grow their businesses. You will use your expertise in financial analysis and credit assessment to make strategic recommendations to the Credit Committee. You will evaluate potential risks and liabilities of businesses seeking investment, while contributing creative solutions to support clients and Uncapped's future success. We are looking to hire for this role on a B2B consultancy agreement while still providing all the benefits outlined in the job description. What You Will Do Analyse business performance and credit risk by reviewing financial statements and other materials to make recommendations on the size, length and structure of capital advances Attend calls with founders and management teams, ask questions and form an opinion on new opportunities Prepare and present approval packages for large deals for the Uncapped Credit Committee Collect, review and report on the financial performance of portfolio companies Collaborate with the risk team and the Director of Investments to improve underwriting capabilities through continuous process improvements Contribute to Credit Committee retrospective reviews Work closely with Product teams to improve customer experience and satisfaction Requirements Who you are Must have at least 2 years of experience in a similar role Must have a finance education, preferably a finance degree or an MBA High level of curiosity and a passion for technology Very strong analytical skills and the ability to review and decipher complex financial models for underwriting purposes Organised, flexible and focused, with the ability to context switch Strong commercial acumen and an understanding of e-commerce business models Confidence to challenge decisions and explain rationale to stakeholders Attention to detail with the ability to spot what others may miss Entrepreneurial mindset with a bias towards action and resilience Collaborative mindset and willingness to over-communicate in a remote environment Benefits What We Offer Unlimited holiday: we believe that well-rested and happy people make the best employees Competitive compensation plan Personal growth fund: Raise your game from great to spectacular The opportunity to make a big impact on the lives of European and US entrepreneurs Workspaces in Warsaw, London, Atlanta and Toronto Eligibility: We can only consider applications from candidates eligible to work in Canada without requiring visa sponsorship. #J-18808-Ljbffr
