Job Description

Overview Competitive All-Stars/Rep Program U7-U18 The competitive program is for players whom the Club classifies as 'above average House League players.' These players are willing to chase the ball without encouragement, have a sense for the game, know how to pass or shoot, and are often athletic. Participation requires strong commitment from parents due to 24 practices per week, games, and a higher financial commitment. Competitive All-Star/Rep has higher fees than recreational formats. Teams practice more, require home and away gear, involve travel, and include more extensive coaching (dedicated paid coaches) and team management. Players are evaluated year-round. Accredited coaches are hired based on game expertise; summer practice is 34 times per week and winter 2 times per week. Since 2009, the Club has grown the number of competitive teams for both boys and girls, and now has a strong footprint in Toronto with a large contingent of competitive teams. Coaches are accredited through Ontario Soccer and many have played soccer at scholastic or professional levels. Coaches are selected based on their ability to mentor youth players toward enjoyment of the sport, scholarship opportunities, or potential professional careers. Players are welcome to try out by emailing team officials; coaches will assess players based on skill level. Contacts: Boys Team Coach Contact; Girls Team Coach Contact. Venues include Monarch Park Stadium, Birchmount Stadium, St. Patrick's Field, Cherry Beach Sports Fields, Regent Park Athletic Grounds, L'Amoreaux Sports Complex, among others.
