School of Aviation & Aerospace Technology - Professor (Part-Time) Aviation Technology 55 Aviation Ave, North Bay, ON P1B 8G2, Canada Job Description Posted Wednesday, June 4, 2025 at 4:00 a.m. Job Title: Professors (Part-Time) Aircraft Maintenance Department: School of Aviation and Aerospace Technology Location: Aviation Campus North Bay, ON Contract Duration: By semester as needed As a national leader in aviation maintenance education, the School of Aviation Technology delivers Transport Canada-approved programs and is committed to developing skilled, safety-conscious, and job-ready Aircraft Maintenance Engineers (AMEs). Canadore College is building a candidate pool of qualified aviation professionals to fill future teaching positions in the Aircraft Maintenance programs. These may include roles in: AME-M (Mechanical) AME-S (Structures) Courses may focus on topics such as aircraft systems, engines, electronics, avionics, electrical generation and distribution, structures and repairs, or troubleshooting techniques in accordance with CAR 566 requirements. Qualifications: Valid AME license (M, E, or S) in good standing Minimum 5 years of relevant industry experience in aircraft maintenance, avionics, or structures Strong knowledge of applicable Transport Canada CAR 566 standards Excellent communication and organizational skills Prior teaching, training, or mentoring experience Certification in adult education or instructional techniques (or willingness to obtain) Experience working with learning management systems and instructional technology Responsibilities: Plan, deliver and evaluate effective learning related to the course learning outcomes and Transport Canadas regulatory standards Support hands-on lab and shop learning activities in a safe, effective learning environment Assess student learning and provide meaningful feedback Contribute to curriculum development and continuous improvement Stay current with regulatory and industry changes impacting AME training Perform all responsibilities associated with the learning environment including preparation, delivery, and evaluation of theory and practical learning activities Applications will be accepted by the Organizational Development and Talent Management Department through our Career Portal at12:00 p.m., on the closing date.
