The Population Health Department is responsible for leading cancer prevention and screening programs across Saskatchewan. The consultant will play a major role in the development, implementation, and maintenance of the departments strategic and operational plans.A key priority for this role will be managing the implementation of HPV Primary Screening within the cervical screening program. Position Qualifications Bachelor degree in Nursing, Social Sciences, or other health science related discipline. Masters degree from an accredited health science or health program is preferred. Current active licensure or registration in the healthcare profession. Minimum of 5 years clinical work experience in healthcare and 1 year consulting and/or project management, performance improvement, operation research or quality improvement experience. A combination of education and experience may be considered. Skills Advanced knowledge and proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, database management and electronic medical record systems. Excellent oral presentation and written skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group, executives, physicians, managers, and subject matter experts. Able to work well with others and participate as a team player. Ability to coordinate effectively various functions and activities for maximum cooperation and efficiency. Able to plan, prioritize, organize and monitor activities and projects. Strong leadership and interpersonal proficiency. Lead, drive and support change and continually improve processes using Lean and other methodologies. Ability to motivate and coach employees, teams and departments to achieve Agency goals and department objectives.
