Join to apply for the Hardlines Group Sales Manager role at Bass Pro Shops Summary: The Group Sales Manager is responsible for growing the business and developing personnel within one or more specialized merchandise departments at a Bass Pro Shops or Cabelas retail location. The GSM will lead customer service and operational excellence by engaging Outfitters in department operations including merchandise presentation, inventory control, pricing, sales, staff selection, and development. Responsibilities: Ensure world-class customer service and a positive shopping experience. Achieve or surpass financial goals. Implement sales event plans. Serve as Manager on Duty, opening and closing the store. Maintain planograms and standards of cleanliness and safety. Hire, train, evaluate, and motivate Outfitters to promote positive customer interactions and teamwork. Resolve customer and staff issues. Perform management functions in accordance with company policies and laws. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications: 3-5 years of retail management experience with sales and merchandising responsibility. Ability to perform financial calculations and analyze reports. Strong problem-solving and communication skills. Knowledge of office technology and retail software. Ability to obtain a P.A.L. license.
