Overview Technical Lead Electrical Engineer - Nuclear (KIN00PA) Worley Company: Worley. Location: Kincardine, Ontario. This is not a remote position. Job Electrical Schedule Full-time Employment Type Employee Job Posting Posting: Jul 14, 2025 Unposting Date: Ongoing Purpose: We are currently recruiting for a Lead Electrical Engineer. The candidate will lead design projects of high risk and complexity for the Electrical discipline, and interface well with the customer and coordinate with the rest of the project team. Responsibilities Take responsibility for the Electrical engineering and design team assigned to and their design output with respect to quality, cost, and schedule requirements for specific projects. Support the Technical Integrity role for the Electrical discipline. Ensure all engineering and design work performed adjusts to quality, cost and schedule requirements. Ensure all design work is safe and carried out in a safe manner. Ensure all design work conforms to the codes and standards used by the client, or to agreed industry standards. Lead design activities with a self-motivated, solutions-oriented approach and effective team leadership and communication skills. Serve as Lead Engineer and supervise the work of other engineers, designers, drafting and Global Integrated Delivery (GID) team. Perform design/engineering work and deliverables as part of the Electrical team. Interpret client specifications and coordinate with other disciplines and the client. Support scope definition, estimation, and progress control of Electrical engineering activities. Support/ensure resource allocation based on project schedule requirements. Lead RFP, estimations, detailed engineering, and field support project activities. Familiarity with client standards and ability to interpret client specifications. Support quality assurance and verification of engineering deliverables. Quality Assurance ensure team members work within the Worley QA system. Identify issues and problems, and develop appropriate solutions. Assist and support junior to senior personnel within the Electrical engineering team. Keep up to date with the latest developments and technical innovations in Electrical engineering. Resolve discrepancies between Worley and Customer requirements. Ensure project scope is clear and changes comply with project change management processes. Participate in meetings, prepare progress reports, and follow checking procedures. May provide assistance during procurement, construction and commissioning activities. Provide construction management support for clients as required. Liaise with clients, vendors, engineers, and other disciplines. Participate in the professional development of less experienced members of the department/team. What you will bring Technical and Industry Experience: Senior-level design management experience for the nuclear power industry and related construction/industrial projects. Experience in design management development and planning. Experience in overseeing design/engineering teams. Knowledge of Engineering Oversight Guidelines. Leadership role supporting multiple small to mid-sized projects. Knowledge of Instrumentation is an asset. Familiar with digital tools, digitization, and data acquisition experience are an asset. Required specialized experience in nuclear industry: Demonstrated experience in nuclear processes and standards. Designing all aspects of electrical power distribution systems for nuclear plants, including grounding and lightning protection. Experience with nuclear safety-related systems. Fire Alarm system design, heat tracing design, and cathodic protection systems. Experience in the design of Security projects for Nuclear Power plants, including Physical Barrier Systems and controls related to these systems. This requires experience in both hardware and software requirements. Security Clearance. Strong knowledge in the development of the following deliverables: MV and LV systems Protection & Control HV knowledge asset/preferable Single line diagrams, schematics, interconnection, and wiring diagram Layouts lighting and grounding, cable routing design Substation and MCC design Electrical calculations Power System Studies HVAC, Ventilation, and Fire Alarm/control system Experience Preparation of Specifications and Contract Documentation. Prepare electrical design and calculations in accordance with relevant Canadian Codes / Standards and client preferences. Working knowledge of applicable codes, standards, regulations, and practices. Working knowledge of Power System software (e.g., ETAP) is an asset. Team player with excellent organizational, communication, time management, and problem-solving skills. Basic knowledge of Computer Aided Design software. Basic knowledge of SmartPlant Electrical software. Competent use of MS Office Suite. Education Qualifications, Accreditation, Training Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering. Senior-level years of direct Electrical engineering experience and experience working on nuclear projects is required. Eligible for nuclear security clearance is required. P.
